Chapter 6; Solitary Tear

"Riddick" Sam breathed again.

His head was bent down and hidden from her. She felt his mouth hot on her neck as he bathed her skin with his lips and tongue.

"Riddick" she said again.

"Sam" he murmured against her neck.

"What are you doing" she asked?

"What do you think I'm doing?" he asked nibbling on her ear lobe. She didn't answer him except with a moan.

"Tell me no Sam and I'll stop" he said. She ran a hand down his back in between his shoulder blades. "I'm serious Sam just tell me you don't want this, that you don't need this and I'll stop" he whispered into her ear.

She brought her hands to his face cupping either side of it and bringing it up to her own. They laid there forehead to forehead, his eyes open and hers shut. She fluttered her lids open and revealed extreme clarity in her jade green eyes.

"Yes" she uttered.

It was all he needed to hear. He wasn't here to push her into this but he knew one thing and that was Samantha Jones or at least the Samantha Jones he had known still laid within this stranger somewhere and the only time he saw her was during their sexual play. There was something to honest and too real between them when things were brought to this level and she couldn't hide herself during it. He needed to bring that part of her back out and if this was the only way then so be it. And now she lay before him, with complete realization and she'd said yes.

Time didn't exist for a while, and if it did then it only regressed. Things were forgotten and things were remember. She wasn't the woman who'd been sent to prison and had killed herself and created someone new. He wasn't a man who'd been alone for seven years raising His own child, watching hers grow and constantly wondering if she'd come back. They weren't those people, there were simple a man and a woman who had a bond with one another and a need to be fulfilled. He sensed her hunger and fed her, she sensed his strength and embraced it. They didn't know what this was or who they were and they didn't need to. Sometimes you don't have to know why or how, sometimes you need to only be. To for a moment in time just exist, no expectations, no labels and no inhibitions.

His hands roamed her skin and he watched it turn from hard to soft, with each caress and each breath her eyes changed. He watched them turn from leather to soft silk in a touch. He shed her clothes away from her body and laid her back on the bed. He gazed down at her once again just as he'd done seven years ago and marveled at her body. So hard and refined yet still soft and feminine. She ran her hands up his chest remembering the way his muscle felt, hard and taunt under the skin. Her lips laced his neck savoring its taste. She inhaled deeply memorizing his scent. She pulled his shirt off his body allowing herself free reign to his mahogany skin. She sat on his lap wrapping her body around his. She let her mind go, for once not letting it cloud up or restrict her movements. For the first time in life she followed her body, letting it do what it pleased. She let her senses take over and desire and passion led the way. Her mouth went where it wanted and her hands danced where they pleased. Not controlling herself through aggression or thought brought on an enormous sense of sensuality and release.

He ran his hands down her legs trickling his fingertips on the inner thigh and he heard her breath catch. He slowly turned her over laying her stomach down onto the mattress. He bent down kissing the back of her ankle running his tongue up the middle of her muscled calve. When he reached her knee he paused, parting his lips and slowly inhaled. Sucking and massaged the sensitive skin with his mouth.

Sam's mind was reeling, she'd never had anyone kiss the back of her knees much less pay this much attention and detail to it. As his lips and tongue continued grazing the skin slowly tugging it and nibbling she stifled a moan, it was sending tiny electric waves through her entire body. She felt him slowly kissing his way up the back of her thigh and trailing slowly up her body. When he reached the indention of her spine he opened his mouth again, nibbling it slightly. Then he flicked his tongue out lapping at the skin of her lower back, then agonizingly he let the tip of his tongue journey up the indention causing her body to tremble.

Reaching the back of her neck Riddick bit the skin softly then licked the supposed wound he'd caused. His hands fingered her hair smoothing it away to her face he fanned it across one side of the bed. He kissed the side if her neck and then whispered in her ear "Roll over".

She turned effortlessly onto her back and looked up at him with heavy eyes. He gazed at her, eyes swirling with desire and awe. She saw the way he was looking at her, almost in reverence and it tore through to her heart. His hands slid over her shoulders, softly cupping her breasts and he leaned down and kissed her lips. Their mouths opened reuniting with one another like old friends. Suddenly the familiarity and ease between them was almost too much for Sam. Her hands reach out raking harshly up his back bringing back the violent streak that had existed so deeply between them.

He pulled her hands away and looked at her "Are you sure you could handle playing rough with me little girl?" he asked.

"Haven't I always been able to before?" she threw back.

"Oh I don't know Sam, you ain't seen nothing yet" he said.

She raised an eyebrow "Well bring it on"!

In a sudden movement Riddick had her arms gripped behind her back. He ran his free hand roughly over her breasts and stomach then harshly raked it up her thighs allowing his nails to dig into the skin.

"You like that Sam?" he asked huskily.

Her chest heaved heavily as her breathing had become more intense. He brought his hand back up to her neck and applied light pressure to her wind pipe and licked the top of her shoulder. Then he suddenly bit hard into the skin. She gasped out and tried to pull her body away from his.

"Uh uh uh Sam, you're not running away this time" He said then bit into her shoulder even harder. He laid her back down on the bed holding her wrists above her head.

He bent down and flicked his tongue over an erect nipple and swirled in his mouth, she arched her back forcing it deeper in. His bit down harshly on it and she gasped again. He licked down to her navel slowly working his mouth, sucking and nibbling her skin. She gathered her legs around his waist and hooked her toes around the waist of the pants. She slowly started inching them down until they reached His knees.

He looked at her and grinned "Clever trick, I don't remember you ever doing that before, something you learned in prison?" he questioned.

Her eyes threw a harsh glare at him and he laughed. "What, does it offend you Sam? Surely you've got tougher skin than that" he said.

He kicked his pants off onto the floor and lay on top of her. She fought to free her hands but found it useless. Slowly she slipped one leg over his shoulder. He gripped her knee cap with his free hand and pressed his body down to hers. She breathed a bit harder from the strain put on her leg but it stirred a fire within her.

He pinned her on the bed with his large frame, her hands still held above her and his hand keeping her leg over his shoulder. He leaned down and kissed her bruising her lips.
His tongue ravenously raping her mouth. She thrust her hips up towards his in invitation.

"Normally I'd say not so fast but what the hell" he said and slid into her finding her warm and ready.

She moaned and ground her hips to his. He thrust quickly into her. She met his pace just as quick. He leaned down and bit into her neck pulling at the skin. She bucked against him still trying to free her hands. She leaned up and bit into his shoulder and slowly started sucking and licking the skin. Their bodies became slick with sweat, Sam tightened her pelvic muscles around him as he seemingly pounded into her. Emotions tore through Riddick, he wasn't enjoying this at all, whenever they'd been rough before there was an element of emotion in it. This time for reasons of his own he was detached from it. He could feel Sam wanting to reach for him, wanting an embrace but he wouldn't allow it.

She's gotta learn one thing, he thought to himself.

She suddenly felt a shudder break through her; she struggled again to free her hands wanting to wrap them around him.

"You want to be just like the others Sam? You want to be a bad mother?" he breathed into her ear.

He felt her body shudder again as she fought to cradle her body into his, "Learn to fuck without love" he said as she arched forward falling into the void of her orgasm.

Riddick tensed feeling her release, then he soon followed and groaned as he pushed into her one last time. He slowly let go of her hands and fell against her body, allowing himself just a moment of serenity in this madness.

She dropped her arms around his shoulders, feeling the blood finally returning to them. She ached from pleasure but felt hollow and empty, something she wasn't use to experiencing with Riddick. Tears brimmed her eyes as his words played over "Learn to fuck without love". As if we ever have before, she thought.

"We may have never verbalized it Sam, but we never removed it either" he answered her unspoken thought. He looked up into her eyes.

"Love was never between us" she told him.

"Maybe it wasn't or maybe it was, but at least before we had affection" he said.

"What the hell was this then?" she asked.

"Well as you said before, a fuck to pass the time" he bit out.

Tears brimmed in her eyes, they threatened his as well. "Sorry Sam but I'm tired of always letting you do this. I can't keep giving what you need and never having you give anything in return, it isn't fair" he said standing up. He pulled on his clothes and turned again to look at her.

"I can't be a body for you to occupy when you need to, I respect myself to much" he said.

"You were more than that and you know it" she said quietly.

"Ya I do, but you don't. You won't let yourself believe it. I'm tired of feeling something and knowing it'll be stomped out, and I'm tired of doing this with awareness that you'll leave the next day" he said.

She opened her mouth to speak then closed it again. "Just go Sam, don't worry about me, I won't follow you again" he said turning to leave. He reached the door and turned
around.

"One thing though" he said and she looked up at him. "If you happen to see Sam around somewhere, if she should show up again tell her to look me up" and with that he left.

Riddick walked back home, letting the darkness surround him and his mind wonder. He got what he went for, and that was truth. He'd seen her resurface and then bury herself
again.

"She's the only one who can overcome this" he said out loud.

It hurt, he'd admit that even to himself. It hurt because he cared about her and it hurt because it'd leave him clinging on to that pillow again for God only knows how many nights. But most of all it hurt to watch someone do that to themselves. He saw the porch light on in the distance and he could see someone sitting on the front steps. He smiled and walked a bit quicker.

"Hey there, are you holding a vigil awaiting my return?" he asked.

"Nope I'm actually just wondering what the hell you're doing back already" Cara said.

"I got what I went for, why stay away any longer?" he said. She looked up at him searching his eyes.

"So everyone else asleep?" he asked.

"Yep" was her answer.

"What did you tell them?" he asked.

"I told them Sam left and you went after her and you'd return whenever you could" she said.

"And how'd they take it?" he asked.

"Brianna took it best, she nodded her head in understanding" she said.

"But Dillion and Jack?" he asked.

"Dillion is frustrated trying to understand Sam's problem with running away" she said.

"And Jack?"

"Jack didn't come home yet" she said.

"What that's insane, it's close to dawn" he said.

"I know but she's fine" Cara said.

"Fine? She hasn't come yet but you say she's fine" He muttered.

"She walked home with someone from the center" Cara told him.

"What?!"

"She went home with a man named Harold, him and his daughter. My guess is she stayed the night" Cara said.

Riddick sighed and sat down on the step in front of her. He rested his head in his hands.

"You ok?" she said.

"Sure never better" he muttered.

She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and rested her head next to his neck. "There's nothing else to do Riddick, it was her choice"

"She's alright, she can take care of herself, she's just breaking her chains for the first time, letting herself walk in her own path" Riddick said.

"I wasn't referring to Jack" she told him.

"Oh, well" he said letting his voice trail off.

"It was her choice, don't beat yourself up over it" she said.

"How do you know?" he asked turning his face to look at her.

"You said you got what you went for and you came back alone" she said as if it were obvious. "Now you hurt inside but you'll make it, I know you will"

"Ya I don't know how to explain it, the loneliness has already started to set it but it's tolerable. I guess I thought it'd be worse"

"It's when you're trapped and don't have answers that the loneliness is rough, but you're ok, it's ok to be lonely as long as you're free" she told him.

The first rays of dawn found Riddick and Cara asleep on the front porch, Sam glanced at them as she past.

"Bye" she said then hurried on her way. She boarded the space craft with ease. She knew there was one taking off this morning and she came here on a hunch it'd have an empty seat. It did and she took it not caring where it went as long as it was away from here. As the engines revved preparing for flight her mind flashed with visions of the last seven years of her life. In the flames that sputtered from the back of the craft she let her ties be burned and a solitary tear slipped from her eye.
