Chapter11; Meeting of the forsaken, part II

The blackness outside terrifying most humans, but a selected few found immense peace in the dark voice of space. It was a void where all eyes could rest upon for hours, and not think of the terrible deeds they'd all performed through out their lives.

Ever since the mission team had arrived with that specific data, every single CQ ship and outpost had been getting silently ready for war, ready to wipe out the enemy.

Training sessions became brutal to the best, inhumane, but they all took it without a word and asked for more with their quiet tortured faces.

Riddick didn't like the notion of children participating in this "war". The Crawlers had been put into heavy training as well as Wolf training them personally in order to get the best results.

But they were kids, nothing more, and one of them just happened to be his. Everytime the girl looked at him, she had no recognition in her dark eyes, as if she id not know the truth and she probably did not.

How could Jack have kept such a huge secret from her own kid? Still blaming him for a mess that belonged not only to Skylar, Macy and himself, but also to her.

All of them had participated in destroying each others lives, although it looked like Jack had rebuilt something that resembled a life. Fuck, she had a house, she had a ship, a kid, probably a dog to and a white fence covered in barb wire.

The spikes always kept nudging up against his skin when he tried to enter her state of mind. She still had her defences up.

Running his hand over his bald head in a thinking motion he became aware of the slightest sound, a whisper amongst the silence, a footstep in a factory.

A thirteen-year-old red head stood beside him, stargazing, her face had lines that belonged in that of a thirty ear old single mother, but not a teen. Worries, she hadn't had a childhood.

So much he did know, she was raised in a lab, and then, Imam. If there was one proof of God having a soul, that would be it. Imam, he trusted him with.... lets just say that the old man hadn't even spoken of Riddick being alive...saying he trusted him with his life was too dangerous.

-"Grandpa taught me about the star signs."

-"Imam".

-"Yes, Imam, Grandpa...doesn't matter. He taught me how to see them the way he'd learned on Earth. Two weeks later I'd converted my present residence at the time. I hear you can do it to."

Her voice monotone, but yet with this beautiful subtle emotion, spiced with a little anger, a little bitterness.

-"Trying to say something, kid?"

His voice far from being either menacing or curl, just....Riddick, not attitude to life, nothing but the pure radiation of his personality shone through.

Her eyes...his eyes, she had his eyes, and they looked at him, almost cold, red and swollen from tears. He'd only seen Jack's eyes that swollen before. How he'd regretted that at the end, not the deed, but the method.

-"I know who you are, I know what you are to me. And I don't like that."

Facing down, not trying to establish contact with him, it was a sign of weakness, not to face your opponent and make them see just how untouchable you could be.

So she wasn't untouchable.

-"Is that all you wanted to tell me?"

-"No. I came here to tell you that I'm responsible for one of my teammate's death, another one's fucked up psychological condition and that it's gettin' to me. Also, knowing that you hurt my mother and left her fucking pregnant, with me, deformed and...."

She bit her lip forcefully, small veins bursting and giving her face a small tint of blood.

-"I'm unstable, I thought you might want to know that for the up coming mission."

It did hurt, her words, but it angered him as well. Not the usual anger where as he'd kill someone, and confusion, but not the confusion where he'd gone and shivved an asshole's gut.

The girl prepared herself to walk away, run away like her mother, away from the problems and away from the pain. Dig herself deeper into the shit she was in. He wouldn't let that happen, not to her, not his own flesh and blood.

-"How do you even know about this shit? Jack never told you."

She smiled, a Skylar smile, her head tilted slightly to the left a she now looked at him and indeed looked untouchable.

-"Do you know who Dr. Fry is? She was the first bitch I ever saw, she was the one who gave me to those fucking white coats for experimentation, experimentation with IQs, strength, speed and memory implants. You know there's actually this funny little gene that carried all of our memories, really weird. I remember, you see, everything."

Her eyes changed and Jack could have been there for a moment. A flood of an unknown emotion ran through him in a wild chase of pain. The girl had Jack's memories.

Without more words to be spoken the girl walked away. A gentle sound in her footsteps spoke of a dream and a statement conflicting each other, the times Jack had ran away and confronted her terrors.

Riddick was left alone, anxious, waiting for the attack to begin.

***********************

INSANITY!
Madness.

I'm here, I'm here I'm here!

Fuck of, fuck the fucking fuck off.

Bitches and bastards running around.

Come, come come come come you little mother fucking bastard.

Mother killer, mother killer.

Asshole.
Die die die die die

Ripper.
Die.
Die!

Trying to take her away...eh?

well..............

DIE DIE DIE!

Gambler. Lee assholes Riddick!

Thief kept on pushing his palms close to his head, trying to let the pain inside of his head go, trying to ignore the brutal words that did sure as fuck not belong to him at all.

Calling him, they just kept on going, calling him, calling calling calling!

Lately it'd only become harder, openly crueller and colder, they just did not want to let him go.

Why should they?

He was the single most important being of their hived mind. Unable to function on their own, hideous ugly creatures, so far ahead that no longer did they even consider themselves human.
Fuck, they'd never been human in the first place.

And the CQ ships.....and the Zion...no better, but at least they fought their instincts, their desires, they still wanted to be human.

Too bad that they would all have to die.

Every single one of them.

Just not Prologis. He wouldn't make it without Prologis. Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet Prologis.
The veins under her skin, the thoughts in her head and her heartbeat, her rhythm and movements.

He'd have to find someway to comfort Bleeder after the Ripper's polite demise.

He didn't wanna though. no no no no no no noo. Not, don't FUCK OFF!

Commands in his head he could barely control, plans that weren't his own. How could he kill Bleeder?

She'd taken him in, raised Paulie and him, not to mention her crazy little darling daughter.

And, and, and, and Damien, after Rashanti's murder....comfort. A mother, fucked up, yes, suicidal pilot, why not.

But she knew, like a mother is suppose to, the value of life, surging through her veins. He always saw it near her, always, humanity and always this surging vitality.

Maybe that's why Riddick was so god damn enchanted by her

Thief's hands still went over the keyboard, typing messages that would doom the attack of the CQ ships.

*************************

Wolf 2 stroke her belly delicately, there was a life within her, she knew it despite the silence of her mother, just knew it. She could feel it, so clearly, she could feel the already thinking creature within her. A girl, she knew that, only girls, she'd never be able to breed boys.

Maybe she'd give birth, maybe not, attack was in three hours, and everyone was ready. Jack and her mother had been talking for quite a while, and the team had finally gathered.

The Crawlers were there, just them, the kids, they'd crawl into the planet base, settle a few atomic bombs and then be off their way.

Those pirates were dead meat, dead dead dead meat. For creating her mother the way they had, for doing those terrible things to Bleeder, to make her a born murderer, for giving herself the nature of a killer. Those people down there would die and suffer and all of their little worms would fall down as well. Those bio weapons, jumpers, parasites wouldn't do jack shit for them now. Not on a desolated planet, dead planet, atomic winter.

An all those little transports would be blowing into fucking pieces by the grown ups, the mission team and all the other pilots and weapon's specialists.

Wolf 2 smiled in a manner that did not belong to her own psyche, something more similar OT her mother. A mother, soon.

But unlike herself, her little girl wouldn't have to revenge for family blood and family pain.

***********************************

The blood, the pain....surrounding them.

Ah, mommy had helped them to penetrate the defences, what a lousy and a predictable computer system they had! Easy to get through and easy to cheat on, like those test given to norm kids.

E-z.

Now the five of them were crawling through the AC's of the complexion, long hallways and the comforting closeness of the tubes. A small time bomb on her back, ready to be set off, the time meter frozen, wouldn't be activated until every single admitted psycho would be off the planet..

A funny feeling begun to settle down into Prologis' belly, as if something were going wrong, even as if everything was going according to plan. Nothing too easy, the hard part being to keep silent and avoid the sensors.

Not to hard of a task, surely it'd work.

But it felt so completely different. Something WAS going wrong, her small soul kept on screaming that.

************************************

Jack's breath shallow and tortured, Riddick's hand kept on pressing against the bleeding wound. Her pained voice kept on whispering, begging him not to leave her side, begging him to watch over Prologis when she'd go.

No matter what he'd say, he knew there were no words that'd get her out of the delirious state of mind. They'd failed miserably.

The little bastard had run away, the damn kid had been the fucking leak all the time, in a top-notch position of course.

And because of that screw up individual Jack lay bleeding too death in an inactive skiff and Bleeder lay on the floor, as if her mind were not there.

It'd been a fuck up he hadn't seen coming.

Dozens of ships had greeted them, dozens of small little suicide ships smiled broadly at them.
The kids were already down there, he couldn't set the bombs off yet, not with them down there.

But they had, everything had gone insane, a lost cause, the pirates would kill all of them. Every single person.

Wolf had set the bomb off, knowing that her own daughter was down there, her own pregnant flesh and blood was down there.

Six beautiful flares had stretched to the sky, colourful and the last sign of Riddick's sanity flowing.

His daughter had been down there..... and he'd found himself on the floor again. He'd found his head aching again and he'd found Wolf standing over him, her eyes deliberate and inhuman, not speaking words, but he knew her pain for a moment.

She'd sacrificed her own kid.

The Crawlers were gone, his kid was gone, or so he had thought, or so he had foolishly thought.

And now they were there, the only three survivors of the Zion, just the three of them.

The little bastard.......

*****************************'

Jack's voice lay sore on his hears, her cries empty and shallow but at the same time filled with immerse pain

They hadn't been able to defend themselves, and their main city ship, the Oberon, had been left defenceless in outer space.

The damned pirates had known, all along, someone had been leaking the truth out to them. Someone had given the m the blue prints of the ship. They'd aimed for the greatest injury, the public residence, the goddamn ship was in half, they would be the last few ones evacuating, the Zion was dying, and the other CQ ships were dead.

-"I had no choice, it was either trying to save six kids, or six thousand residents."

Wolf tried to justify the truth to herself, but deep inside the humane monster could not find a reason, not a single one.

The Crawlers gone, and now, only the three of them had to evacuate the ship, just after confirming the self-destruction sequence.

No way they'd ever let the remains of those pirates recuperate on their information, on their home, Zion.

Yeah, they'd gotten them all right, and lost themselves in the process.
